Head Coach & BJJ Black Belt
Coach Chris Alfar is a BJJ Black Belt under World Renowned Instructor and Head Coach Firas Zahabi of Tristar Gym in Montreal. He obtained his white through brown belt under UFC Veteran Claude Patrick. Coach Chris has extensive competition experience having hit the podium in the IBJJF, ADCC Open, OGA, and OJA events. Coach Chris comes to the gym with a multitude of coaching experience having taught in Ontario and Quebec at Bowler’s BJJ, Tristar Gym, 450 Jiu-Jitsu and Core BJJ.
Alex Patehviri
Fundamentals Coach & BJJ Brown Belt
Coach Alex Patehviri began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 15 and has spent many years developing a highly technical style of Jiu-Jitsu, achieving the rank of Purple Belt in 2017 and Brown Belt in 2024. An avid competitor in both GI and NO GI tournaments, Coach Alex found success early on as a junior white belt capturing the JCC Provincial Championship Belt. As an adult Coach Alex’s accolades include being a two-time Provincial Champion at both white and blue belt.
